Recently inspired to draw dragons, i did this. Maybe my talents lay elsewhere though, huh.

title: "I don't have a name."
medium: Pencil & Copic Liners
comments: original on a 3"x5" note card, so I didn't resize it after scanning so you can see the details. Still working on it, but the lineart looks good on it's own and I wanted to share. Large image under the cut. I don't think anyone will get the reference to the title and cut, so just go here and see for yourself *wink*

Feedback will be loved.

This is gorgeous, stunning, beautifully detailed, and captivating. The lineart!!!!!! I am such a sucker for gorgeous lineart and. And this is it. And. I can't get over how much this looks like the Temeraire I have been seeing in my head all these many months. The not-quite smile, the sparkle of intelligence in the eyes (how do you *do* that!!!!!!)

OH MY GOD. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD DO?

YOU SHOULD POST THIS TO [livejournal.com profile] temeraire_fans!!!!!!!!!!

FANART. OMG it's like there's a fandom for it or something. [-o<!

Oooooh, gorgeous! You know, as I was reading that book, I kept wishing I were an artist so that I could draw some of the scenes from it. *G* I really hope you'll be inspired to do more!

Oooooh, I like this a lot. Especially the detail, which is even *more* impressive for all that it is actually on a 3x5 card!

I really, really like his eye, the end of his nose, and the ear flap. The detailing really looks like scales, and I can see the different dimensions of his nose without even needing to see it shaded.

Please excuse me while I chew out my own liver with jealousy. *koff*

;)

I like this a lot--I take it you're going to color it, too? I can't wait to see!

Well, i was working with copic liners which go down to 0.03 (think .5 mechanical lead pencils) which was what i was using to ink.

and YES! I lovebeing able to line and show DEPTH. You commetn has made me SO HAPPY, really, you don't know how hard I have worked/struggled to do just that in other pieces.

I think I will color it, how? I'm not too sure yet.

They are indeed *G* And so is your artwork. I particularly like the raggedy edge to its ears, that dragon has seen some action. Beautiful detail. I bet it would look lovely in a sort of sepia wash...

Gorgeous work! I love the delicate wing structure in the background, the face, the frill. the drawing style seems eminently suited to the subject... I'd love to see more.

oh, wow! :D You noticed the wing, I thought it got too faded out for most to see or really, figure out what it was.

And I have always loved dragons, so yes, I hope my love for them shows when I draw them :D
